Paper, petals, leaves and cloth all forms of fiber on exhibit in the Woods Gallery opening November 7th running through December 30th.
Natural fiber elements have been manipulated into artistry by members of HW Seed and Sod Garden Club. Song birds, children at play, owls, even ballerinas have been crafted into works of art using home grown and dried plant materials. Original works are available for sale as are the popular note card sets which will be available for immediate pickup at the Library’s main desk.
Stunning stitch work by Woods resident Francina Graef and Berkley resident Megan Homanick will also be featured. Francina’s stitch work draws from her travels blending modern & traditional quilting techniques using bold batiks. Megan’s 3-dimensional work stitches together paper illustrations & snippets of original text to tell the tale of Beatrix Potter in a series of 3 vignettes.
